Shyam & Sita belong to a song and dance troupe and live along with their children, Radha (Smita Patil) and Ramu (Mithun Chakraborthy). They get an offer to perform at Jalpaiguri. However, Sita's beauty catches the eye of trumpet playing A. M. Singh, who decides to keep her, and kills the rest of the troupe members in an arranged bus accident. Radha and Ramu become homeless and destitute; they sing and dance on the road and with great hardships they grow up to form their own song & dance troupe. Radha gets married to one of the troupe members, Resham... life goes on smoothly for both of them...But, A. M. Singh once again returns to create havoc in their lives..
