This book is a true reproduction of the contents of some papers which belong to the days between April 1944 and July 1945. During this time Krishnabai was connected with the underground movement in Madras. The papers have historical importance and they have a bearing on the Quit India Movement in the Madras Presidency. Therefore they are reproduced in the form of a diary. This diary should be of immense help to all those who are interested in objectively studying the underground struggle that was conducted after the Quit India resolution was adopted by the Aicc of the Indian National Congress meeting in 1942 in Bombay. Of special interest are the author's long talks with Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Nehru, and the author's criticism of Shri C. Rajagopalachari on his stand during the Quit India Movement.
