Ustad Aslam Hussain Khan is the representative of 5 years old traditional musician's family of prestigious Khurja, Atrauli (Jaipur), Agra and Delhi Tanras Khan gharanas. Initially trained in music by his maternal uncle Haji Ustad Altaf Husaain Khan of Khurja gharana.Later around 195 Ustad Aslam Khan came under tutelage of his brother-in-law Gayan Samrat Ustad Azmat Hussain Khan., who not only became his guru but also mentor and benefactor. He also had an opportunityof learning music from Ustad Vilayat Khan and Ustad Khadim Hussain Khan. He has composed several compositions and Ragas under the pen name 'Khushrang'
