Asleep in the Back is the debut studio album by English rock band Elbow, first released in the United Kingdom in May 2001, and in the United States in January 2002. Includes the singles Red, Powder Blue, Newborn, Asleep In The Back & more. The record was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize in 2001.
