Pandit D. V. Paluskar was son of well-known Hindustani Musician Pandit Vishnu Digambar Paluskar. He was subsiquently trained by Pandit Vinayakrao Patwardhan and Pandit Narayanrao Vyas. He was also trained by Pandit Chintamanrao Paluskar and Pandit Mirashi Buwa. He inherited Gwalior Gharana and the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, but was always poen to adopting aestetic features of other gharanas and styles. He has very sweet melodious voice. His alap clearly outlined the raga he sang, this was followed by bandish embellished by beautiful taans in an effortlss enchantingstyle. He was master of presenting an attractive and comprehensive picture of raga in very short duration.
