The daughter of the legendary Kumar Gandharva continues the lineage of his animated and trail blazing approach to Indian classical singing which drew heavily on folk music to inspire the composition of the new ragas. Kalapini Komkali also adds her own unique style with a voice which is rich, husky and deep.
