The book is a collection of the writings, poems of 22 saints and great men and women. During the bhakti period in India several saints were born in different parts of the country. They sang and danced, wrote poems ,gave talks and had a large following and interesting stories. In almost all of their lives, God has appeared to them either in person or in a dream or as a miracle and has changed their lives forever. Jaideo was a saint for whom a line of poem came to his mind when he was on his way to the river for a bath. He came back and wrote it down. Actually it was God in the form of man who came and wrote the poem after which Jaideo got inspired and began writing. Rabindranath Tagore, Annie Besant, Mahatma Gandhi and others too have told the story of how they came into contact with God. In almost every case it has been a miracle, something one cannot relate to real life. God in his various forms and different ways has come into the lives of these people who have told their stories.
