Imrat Hussain Khan, the young exponent of the famous school of Imdad Khan, is the younger brother of the world famous sitar player Ustad Vilayat Khan. Like his famous father, the late Ustad Inayat Khan, Inayat Khan, Imrat Khan plays both the sitar and the surbahar with equal virtuosity.

Born in November 1936, he ranks at a relatively young age among the foremost players of India, and his superb rendering of this raga gives a glimpse of the exceptional talent inherited by the Khan Sahib from his renowned ancestors and developed by sheer perserverance.
