Nobel Laureate Joseph Rudyard Kipling (30 December 1865 – 18 January 1936) was a British poet, short-story writer and novelist. Well known for his tales for children and vivid representations of the British soldier in India, Kipling was hailed as `the most complete man of genius’ by Henry James. Apart from classics like Plain Tales from the Hills, The Jungle Book, Kim and Just So Stories, Kipling has left us with a wealth of short stories known for their innovative style and excellent narratives.
