Sraboni Chaudhuri, one of the foremost disciples of the legendary thumri singer Smt.Shobha Gurtu, presents six compositions encompassing a large section of the Semi Classical Hindustani tradition. While most of the compositions express love for the beloved, others capture the angst of the lover when separated from her beloved. The Hari and the Jhoola depict the flavour of the occasions for which they are sung. The Ghazal composed by Sraboni sums up the entire gamut of emotions that one experiences when in love.
