Pandit D. V. Kanebuwa took his primary education in music from Pandit Neelkanthbuwa Janam, Thereafter Pandit Kanebuwa was trained under Pandit Vinayakbuwa Patwardhan and Pandit Mirashibuwa of Gwalior gharana. Later he became aGandabandh Sjargird of Ustad Vilayat Hussain Khansaheb of Agra gharana. Kanebuwa was influenced by other Gharanas also Jaunpuri and Kirana which helped in developinghis own unique and different style of singing which reflects all the features and blend of all these Gharanas besides Agra-Gwalior. He devoted his full time towards encouraging next generation towards Classical Music through giving them proper education on Gurukul Pattern. He has taken forward the legacy of Pandit Balkrishnabuwa Ichalkaranjikar.
